How do handmade mother-of-pearl storage boxes use modern technology by artisans?

1. Design the pattern you want mother-of-pearl on paper.
2. Cut out the designed patterns one by one.
3. Apply solid glue to the cut paper and stick it to the abalone shell.
4. Cut and polish each abalone shell.
5. Draw the pattern of mother-of-pearl on the wooden box and groove the pattern with a tool. 
6. Inlay each cut shell pattern into the wood slot.
7. Sprinkle wood ash to fill the gaps in the groove and finally polish and polish.
